Taping PackagingSPS Corporation was founded by Jim Gieber and Frank James, both graduates of prestigious engineering colleges in the 1960's.  Their paths crossed at Dupont Corporation where they worked together on the development of the original polyolefin shrink film, Clysar.  In 1970, Jim and Frank decided to start Shrink Packaging Systems Corporation.  Both men understood how their engineering expertise would be a valuable asset to the packaging industry.  By combining expert film and machine knowledge, customer interests were more efficiently served by providing greater productivity. 

It is, therefore, no wonder that SPS's Technical Sales team of 21 people includes 6 degreed engineers.  This technical approach to packaging sales provides our customers with the right resources to ensure that every aspect of your equipment and line layout are correct. Prior to ordering, our Technical Sales team verifies the right materials for the application. 

undefinedSPS also maintains the highest ratio of Factory Trained Technicians to Sales Specialists and Engineers in the industry.  Most of our technicians have decades of industry experience.  We are able to offer complete machinery design and equipment upgrades or modifications whether in-house or in the field. 

Our team has also developed, designed, and manufactured over 85 patentable machinery modifications including the revolutionary Green Machine Side Seal.

At SPS, keeping your line up and running is our number one priority.  Each technician has a dedicated service van with equipment and parts to keep your operation delivering product.  If we don't have the part on-hand, our dedicated Parts Team will find it for you. 

Even if your line is running smoothly, our Sales Engineers can provide in-depth process audits that can identify existing issues, boost efficiency, and increase productivity.  Our Teams work together to ensure your needs are met in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
